President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called on the people of Bukwo to actively participate in Uganda’s wealth creation agenda, saying the government has provided enough programs to lift citizens out of poverty and unemployment.

Addressing thousands of supporters at Amanang Grounds , the President challenged residents to stop being “spectators” and instead engage directly in income-generating activities supported by government initiatives.

He emphasized that true transformation begins when individuals take advantage of the numerous programs rolled out by government to promote economic empowerment.

The President reiterated his long-standing message on individual enterprise as the foundation of Uganda’s economic growth, saying that job creation is directly tied to personal productivity.

Museveni’s remarks come as part of his renewed campaign focus on self-reliance, industrialization, and community-based economic transformation, particularly under the Parish Development Model (PDM) Emyooga initiatives.

The president promised to upgrade Bukwo HCIV to a general hospital and all the HCIIs to HC111s in Kapnandi, kapsarur, kamet, Riwo, kabei, senendet, Bukwo and suam subcouties.

He added that the government will continue to support the Landslide victims.
He also proposed construction of 1 primary school in each parish and a secondary school in every subcounty but in stages.
